'Faint Signal' was written during a period of time when I was researching my family history. Turns out that on one branch of my family tree my ancestors were from the fishing communities of Northumberland, Holy Island and Berwick Upon Tweed. To touch the past is a strangely personal experience and these emotions are reflected in tracks like 'Sail Away with Me', 'Hollow', 'Spittal Song' and 'In the Shoes of the Fisherman'. The album also includes many traditional Celtic instruments and the whole album is full of seafaring references and imagery. The cover art is beautiful, featuring the causeway at Holy Island. ROJOR
